Jet Boating ? according to Lukey

by Luke Schechter

Please note that this is Luke’s conception of the event so some details could possibly be inaccurate or false.

We walked to the dock and the people there took our picture. We had to put on life jackets and ponchos. Then we got onto the kJet boat. We learned when the driver would do 360 degree turn, which means go around in a circle. Then we practiced a 360. It was really cool. We went up the river really fast and got close to a support beam of a bridge, but I wasn’t scared. Then we did another 360.

The driver said the Southern Alps was one of the only two mountain ranges (Rockies are the other) that run true north and south. We got really close to trees. Then we went on another river and we couldn’t stop because it was only three inches deep! We went 50 mph! We turned around and went back through a grove a trees but we barely touched them. When we got back to the dock, we took off our things and went to the underwater observatory. I got to feed the fish when I pushed a button. Created by Luke. Typed by Ben.

How Jet Boating Works. ?

Okay so I, Ben, will tell you how jet boating works because I saw it in a brochure.

  1. A hole on the bottom of the boat sucks in water.
  2. It gets shot out the back.
  3. The boat is propelled forward, kinda like a squid.

Okay I hope you find this useful somehow. Don’t know how. But you’ll figure something out. ?

  1. Henry says to tell Lukey that one of his favorite NZ things was jetboating on the yellow KJet boat! He can’t wait to talk to him about it when you get home.
