On our 9th day in New Zealand we took a cruise to an island with a hole in it. When we got on we immediately went to the top deck-only to find that the plastic seats had been roasting in the sun. So we went down. First we stopped at a peninsula called Russel and more people got on the boat. Then we sped by islands and the crew told us some interesting history of the area. After that we drove into a bay named Oke (oh-kee) bay. The crew told us that they don’t usually go there and we were lucky because it was a calm day. From there we went to Hole in the Rock. When we first saw it we thought was cool. When we went through it Luke’s mind was blown. Suddenly there was a splash, we saw a fin cut through the water. Something jumped out of the water. It was a dolphin! On our way back the crew took us to Bird’s Rock, where we saw seals. Then we stopped at an island for a swim and I was almost killed by Luke’s stick. We got back on the boat and headed home.

Ooh. I love dolphins! What made the hole form in the rock?
Great writing, Ben!
